Christopher Kondrich

Christopher Kondrich (B.A., Fordham University; M.F.A., Columbia University; Ph.D., University of Denver) is a poet, editor and educator residing in Providence, Rhode Island, where he teaches creative writing and literature for the nonprofit organizations Lighthouse Writers Workshop and Frequency Writers, and at Johnson and Wales University. His first book of poetry, Contrapuntal (Free Verse Editions, 2013), was a New Measure Poetry Prize finalist, a Volta best book of the year, and was twice featured on Verse Daily. His recent poetry has been awarded The Iowa Review Award for Poetry (selected by Srikanth Reddy), The Paris-American Reading Series Prize, and appears or is forthcoming in Boston ReviewColorado Review, CrazyhorseGulf Coast, Poetry Northwest, The Iowa ReviewThe Kenyon Review, Third Coast, Typo and Web Conjunctions. While he has edited for several literary journals including Denver Quarterly and Tupelo Quarterly, he is currently an Associate Editor of 32 Poems and a peer reviewer for the scholarly journal ISLE: International Studies in Literature and Environment.
