Brittney Edmonds is a writer and scholar of African-American literature and theory. She earned her B.A. from Cornell University where she studied as a Meinig Family Cornell National Scholar. She is currently a doctoral candidate at Princeton University and will earn her degree in September 2018 in English Literature with certificates in Gender and Sexuality Studies and African-American Studies. She has taught at Cornell University, Princeton University, Mercer Community College, and Bard College. She is currently a literature faculty member at Bard High School Early College in Manhattan. Her writing has appeared in MELUS and a forthcoming anthology on African-American culture. She lives in Brooklyn.
