Kristin Prevallet

Kristin Prevallet (B.A., University of Colorado, Boulder; M.A., University of Buffalo) has published fiction, poetry, and essays in numerous anthologies, books, and journals including the American Poetry Review, The Atlantic, The Chicago Review, and I’ll Drown My Book: Conceptual Writing by Women. The author of five books of poetry and three books of creative healing, her essay “Blood on the Illusion: The Violent Side Effects of Capitalism” was chosen as a 2015 notable essay by the editors of the Best American Essays. Her work has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize and she has received grants, residencies and awards from New York Foundation for the Arts, Centre Internationale de Poesie, Spalding University, and Poet’s House. She teaches for Bard’s Prison Initiative and maintains a private mindbody coaching practice in Westchester, NY.
