Sahar Romani trained as a human geographer and ethnographer, receiving an MA from University of Washington and a PhD from Oxford. Currently, she is an MFA candidate in poetry at New York University. Her essays and reviews are published and forthcoming in Gender, Place and Culture, Contemporary South Asia, and Boston Review. Her poems appear in The Offing, Asian American Writers Workshop’s Margins, and 92Y’s Podium. She previously taught interdisciplinary research and writing at New York University, Yale University, and CUNY College of Staten Island.
